The Cathedral of San Salvador was built on the site of an old Great Mosque, which later became the Church of the Savior, and in 1980 it was elevated to the status of cathedral.
A monumental 17th century building, where Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical styles are mixed.
In its Cathedral Museum there are pictorial works of great relevance, such as The Virgin Child by Zurbarán and paintings by Juan Rodríguez “El Tahonero”.
