The Claustros de Santo Domingo are 13th century cloisters originally linked to the Church of Santo Domingo and which came into civil use after the confiscation of church property by Mendizábal in the 19th century, and are therefore managed independently and autonomously.
It is one of the jewels of Gothic architecture in Andalusia and a first-class cultural space in Jerez.
The origin of the cloisters dates back to the Almohad fortification outside the walls that King Alfonso X gave to the Dominican order in 1.264.
