Alcazar de Jerez

Monumental Complex And Camera Obscura.

The Alcazar of Jerez de la Frontera is a former Moorish Alcazar, probably dating from the 12th century, being the oldest Almohad buildings in the Iberian Peninsula.

At a later date Baroque manor buildings were added and it is one of the main monuments in the town.  It is to be found at the southeast corner of the old city walls, next to the Alameda Vieja, a popular boulevard.
