The Cathedral of the Holy Saviour was built on the foundations of a Great Mosque, reconverted into the Holy Saviour church and elevated to the distinction of Cathedral in 1.980.
A monumental 17th Century building where there is a mix of Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassic styles.
In the Cathedral Museum there are highly relevant paintings, such as The Virgin Mary as a Child Praying by Zurbarán and paintings by Juan Rodriguez “El Tahonero”.
